Brush and Yard Waste

The Town Highway Department collects yard waste and brush from April through October.

Brush and yard waste is the “woody” natural material from your property including cut pieces of trees, limbs, shrubbery, grass, and yard and garden waste.

Grass clippings and leaves must be in brown paper bags or boxes. We will not pick up anything in plastic bags or loose material.

Pieces of trees and brush must be piled neatly near the road with nothing larger than 8-feet-long and 6-inches-in-diameter.

This service provides residents a convenient way to dispose of green waste.

We will not pick up waste produced by commercial contractors, such as tree stumps and large tree branches and trunks, landscaping waste, rocks, sod, dirt or other construction and landscaper waste and materials, etc. They are responsible for disposal of these.

If you need assistance with removal of these items or if you have yard waste and brush remaining after seasonal pickup has ended, OCRRA has drop off sites available for a fee.

Please call them at 315.453.2866 or go to www.ocrra.org.
