Town of Onondaga Annual Fall Cleanup
Program

The Town of Onondaga Highway Department is pleased to offer its Annual
Fall Cleanup Program, providing residents with a convenient way to dispose of
eligible household items and yard waste.

During this 7-week program, Highway Department crews will travel
more than 200 miles of Town roadways collecting approved materials.

Before Your Scheduled Cleanup Week

Please review the cleanup schedule carefully and place all materials at
the roadside before your designated collection week begins.

Important: Each residence is entitled to:

• One (1) household junk collection
• One (1) yard waste collection

Crews are unable to return for materials placed at the curb after your
scheduled collection has been completed.

ACCEPTABLE HOUSEHOLD ITEMS

Examples of approved household junk include:

• Sofas and chairs
• Box springs
• Washers and dryers
• Toys
• Scrap wood
• Plumbing fixtures
• Lawn furniture
• Grills
• Carpeting
• Dry, empty paint cans (lids
  removed)
• Windows and mirrors (must be
  taped or securely wrapped to prevent shattering)

BRUSH COLLECTION REQUIREMENTS

Brush must:

• Be piled separately from
  household junk
• Be no larger than 6 inches in
  diameter
• Be 8 feet or less in
  length
• Be stacked neatly away from
  fences, utility poles, and overhead wires
